Roger and Sharon Coleman have brought their passion for loving people and their years of experience as Youth Pastors and Lead Pastors along with them to LaPorte Assembly.
Roger and Sharon Coleman have served together in fulltime ministry since graduating from Southeastern University in 1997. Raised in LaPorte, God called Roger “back home” to LaPorte Assembly in 2012, to serve along side Pastor Jeff and his staff. Roger and Sharon enjoyed 5 ½ years in youth ministry before accepting the position of Lead Pastor at Journey Church in Granger, IN. For the next 7 years, Roger led the congregation in Granger, through a time of revitalization and growth. In 2009, after planting a new church in Northwest Arkansas, Roger’s mentor lost his battle to a very rare blood disease. Proving His Word that, “He who began a good work is faithful to complete it”, God led the Coleman’s to finish the church plant and lead the church to a place of stability and health. After several years away from friends and family, Roger and Sharon and their 2 daughters, Madisson and Jocelynn, were very excited for the next phase of their journey and establishing “home” at LaPorte Assembly!
