Our heart is simple: to build healthy people who love God, love others, and live out their faith in everyday life.

What to Expect

Visiting a new church can feel intimidating, but we want you to feel at home from the moment you walk through the doors. Here’s what a typical Sunday morning at La Porte Assembly looks like.

Meaningful Worship

Our services begin with worship led by a full worship team. The music is modern and engaging while also drawing from the rich heritage of the church, helping us focus our hearts on Jesus and worship together.

Practical Teaching From God’s Word

Each week you’ll hear Bible-based teaching that is clear, practical, and centered on helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

A Place for Kids and Families

We love families and work hard to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can grow in their faith and genuinely enjoy coming to church.

Many parents tell us that their kids look forward to Sundays because of the friendships they build and the way they learn about God in a way that connects with their lives. Our goal is that kids would not only learn about Jesus, but begin building a real relationship with Him.

Kids check-in begins at 9:15 AM. When you enter the building, simply walk straight down the hallway to the back and you’ll find our children’s check-in area, where our volunteers will help you get your kids checked in quickly and safely.

For the safety of every child, all of our children’s ministry volunteers are background checked and carefully screened.

Come As You Are

La Porte Assembly is a casual and welcoming church. Some people dress up, many come in jeans and everyday clothes — either way, you’ll fit right in.

Service Length

Our Sunday service begins at 9:30 AM and typically lasts about 90 minutes.

Prayer Before Service

At 8:30 AM we gather for a time of prayer before the service begins. Anyone is welcome to join us as we pray for our church, our community, and the work God is doing in our lives.
