Helping Kids Know God, Grow in Faith, and Build Lifelong Friendships

At La Porte Assembly, we believe children aren’t just the church of tomorrow — they are an important part of the church today.

K’nect 10 Kids Ministry exists to help children connect with God, grow in their faith, and discover that they are deeply loved by Jesus.

Our goal is to partner with parents to help every child build a real relationship with the One True God. Through engaging Bible teaching, worship, games, hands-on activities, and meaningful friendships, we create an environment where kids can experience the truth of God's Word in ways that make sense for their lives.

Every week kids learn that:

• God loves them

• The Bible is true

• Prayer matters

• They are created with purpose

Our team uses a variety of teaching styles — including storytelling, object lessons, music, games, and creative activities — so that every child can learn and grow, whether they learn best by listening, seeing, or doing.

Most importantly, we want every child who attends K’nect 10 to know that church is a safe place where they belong.

A Safe and Welcoming Sunday Experience

When families arrive at La Porte Assembly, children are checked in at our secure Kids Check-In Station.

Each child receives a name tag, and parents receive a matching security number. If a parent is needed during service, that number will appear on the screens in the sanctuary.

This system helps ensure that every child is safe, cared for, and properly checked out by their parent or guardian.

Our trained volunteers and leaders are committed to creating a safe, encouraging, and Christ-centered environment for every child.

Age-Based Kids Ministry Environments

We provide age-appropriate classes and experiences designed to help children grow at each stage of development.

Nursery (0–2 Years)

Our nursery is a peaceful and loving space designed especially for the youngest members of our church family.

Caring volunteers provide a safe environment where babies and toddlers are nurtured while beginning to hear simple truths about God’s love.

Even at this early age, we believe children can experience that Jesus loves them and they are valued.

Toddler Class

Our toddler room is full of energy, laughter, and discovery.

Children enjoy:

• Songs and music

• Bible stories

• Crafts and activities

• Snacks and playtime

Each activity is centered around a simple Bible truth designed for young minds to understand and enjoy.

Preschool

Our preschool class introduces children to God’s Word in a fun, interactive, and hands-on way.

Through storytelling, music, crafts, and group activities, kids begin learning that:

• God created them

• God loves them

• The Bible is God’s Word

This class allows children to explore their faith using all their senses while building friendships and confidence.

K’nect 10 (Grades 1–6)

K’nect 10 is an exciting environment where elementary kids learn about God in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and memorable.

Each Sunday begins with Connection Time, where kids can play games and build friendships with other children and leaders. This relaxed environment helps kids feel welcome and part of the community.

Our service includes:

Worship

Kids participate in live worship led by a team that includes both children and junior high students.

Bible Teaching

Elementary students gather together for a large-group teaching time where the day’s Bible story, main idea, and memory verse are presented through:

• Skits

• Videos

• Object lessons

• Interactive games

Prayer & Review

We close our time together with prayer and often finish with a fun quiz review where kids answer questions and reinforce what they’ve learned.

Our goal is that every child leaves knowing something new about who God is and how much He loves them.

At La Porte Assembly, we believe parents play the most important role in a child’s spiritual growth.

Our mission is to partner with families, providing tools, encouragement, and teaching that helps children grow in their faith both at church and at home.
